HISTORY AFLOAT 7 tickets are now on sale! This year will be a little different, as we’ll be on board the Sylvan Spirit with Captain Skip Heeter on Saturday, JULY 27th, noon to 4. We’ll be taking a tour of the east side of Lopez, from Spencer’s Landing down into Lopez Sound and out through Lopez Pass, exploring the connections between Lopez, Decatur, and Blakely Islands. What will not change is the entertaining stories from long-time locals, great food and refreshments, and (we hope!) sunny, beautiful weather. We only have 50 seats this year, so call, email, or stop by now to reserve your tickets!
In an effort to keep improving our ability to care for and maintain our irreplaceable artifacts and archives, we are looking to install two new heat pumps in our museum and office spaces. These will improve our efficiency, help us to maintain a stable environment, and exclude bugs and dust. You can help us keep Lopez Island history preserved for the benefit of all!
