Lopez Legends, Myths & Yarns

July 21, 2012

This summer, the Historical Society is doing something we do better than anyone else…bringing history alive. We have a new format for our summer fundraiser – Lopez Legends, Myths & Yarns will be the first of a series of unique and irresistible programs.

Please join us at the Port Stanley School on July 21 at 7:00pm for an evening of fascinating tales from the museum’s archives, after-dinner delectables, desserts, and live music. Through the diaries, letters, and personal papers of Lopez settler families, you will be treated to the intimate details of the lives of early Lopez Island’s best storytellers.

Tickets are $35 each, and we will offer several different ways for you to support museum programs. Seats are limited, and we expect to sell out early, so get your tickets now to guarantee your place. Call 468-2049 if you need more info.
