Join author mattilda bernstein sycamore and ronni tartlet for a conversation about archiving queer movements, the history of queer activism, and the importance of telling queer stories. This event will include a discussion of the process of creating Sycamore’s next anthology, ACT UP Beyond New York: Stories and Strategies from a Movement to End the AIDS Crisis, which will be published by Haymarket Press in 2027.

Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore is the award-winning author of seven books, and the editor of six anthologies. Her new novel, Terry Dactyl, was described by the New York Times Book Review as “a remarkably grounded look at what it means to be fully alive.” Sycamore’s anthologies are archives of queer resistance.
