Support the Museum

The first meeting of the Birthday Club, June 1922. Begun by Sanna Tralnes on her 50th birthday (in the center, holding cake) to raise money for those in need in the community. Each member gave as many pennies as their age during the birthday month. This club still meets.

A group of men, women, and children stand on the porch of the Lopez Store and U.S. Post Office, which belonged to C.T. Butler. The Butler family lived above the store. The dock is to the right. Victoria Hutchenson is on the right in a white dress. The man in the doorway is perhaps her brother Walter Hutchenson.
